Good for growth - Finland's Silicon Plain

LIVE COMFORTABLY CLOSE TO NATURE

only 15 minutes from Oulu

Living in Kempele can be a dream come true: step straight out of your front door into nature, the peace of the countryside. Even the sea is so close you can feel it in the air.

The residential parts of Kempele are spread around the ribbon formed by the village centre. To the east lie the Honkanen recreational area and the Köykkyri Skiing Centre, with jogging and skiing tracks through varying terrain that are well known and very popular with people living in the area. On the other side, towards the sea, are the playing fields, football pitches and ice rinks of the Sarkkiranta sports complex. An indoor sports hall for ice hockey, volleyball, basketball etc. is also planned there. Between the two sports areas are the services of the village centre, Zeppelin and the Zimmeri swimming baths.

Kempele has enough unspoiled nature for everybody and for all kinds of activities.

The blocks of flats in the centre can be seen from far off. The people of Kempele can free chose what sort of house they would like to live in, and new properties of all kinds are being built all the time. The demand for them is high, of course, as new jobs are being created and the population is growing.

Plots for building detached houses are in great demand, and the Kokkokangas area in particular has grown rapidly. It is there, perhaps, that you will find the most typical Kempele families, living in comfortable detached houses in natural surroundings. The district council has now acquired about 70 hectares more land in the Linnankangas area so that building there can be expanded. There are plans that it should eventually house about 2500 people.

Kempele will have some of the highest quality residential areas in Northern Finland in the course of time, areas that represent an especially pleasant way of life and new standards of comfort together with a location in the environs of Oulu.

Drive directly from your own front gate out onto the motorway, and you are in the centre of Oulu in quarter of an hour. That is mobility at its best.
