LIGHT IN THE WILDERNESS - EXHIBITION  

The supporters of the exhibition

Ministry of Foreign affairs Is in charge if taking the exhibition around the world for two years. The duties include among other things transportation, planning, information, realisation, translation and printing.

Tauno Kohonen is the photographer in charge of compiling the exhibition. In addition to photographing he has taken care of design work, marketing and contacts with the Ministry and other supporters. The pictures involved in bulleting the exhibition have been given to the media with rights of publication.

The municipality of Kuusamo The exhibition is based on photographs taken in Kuusamo. Therefore the exhibition is at the same time marketing nature tourism and Kuusamo with the photographs of Tauno Kohonen.

The Forest and Park Service The photographs have been taken in the Oulanka national park and other protected areas that are managed by the Forest and Park Service. That highlights the importance of the Forest and Park Service as preserver of the Finnish wilderness areas.

Finnair Increase of tourism increases also the need for transportation. The marketing of Finnish tourism abroad is done mainly by Finnair or at least in cooperation with it. Finnish nature is one of the main attractions for tourists.

The Regional Council of Northern Ostrobothnia and the Oulu region The regional council of Northern Ostrobothnia and the town of Oulu and the surrounding municipals take part in supporting the exhibition. The Northern Ostrobothnia is internationally known and versatile tourist region, which has no parallel in the whole of Finland. Oulu region for that matter is known for high technology expertise and Nokia.

usto – Finnish Forest Museum The presentation of forest knowledge and forestry has centralised in Lusto, The Finnish Forest Museum located in Punkaharju. The exhibition, which presents artistic and preservational values, is completed with the expertise of Lusto. Inquiries concerning Finnish forestry are directed to Lusto.

Kodak Oy The exhibition photographs are printed on Kodak Professional photograph paper with digital Kodak LED printer, which enables grainless printing even in large sizes.

Jarkoskuva Oy Jarkoskuva Oy in Helsinki is responsible for printing the exhibition photographs as Ultimax-mini prints.
