Oulu 400 years of international city -book has been finished in October 2004. The book includes 128 pages and it has texts in Finnish and in English. For this book Tauno Kohonen has taken thousands of photographs from Oulu. The text is written by journalist Tuomo-Juhani Tapio and it is translated into English by Malcolm Hicks.

The book presents Oulu city and its international history and future. It also presents Oulu’s wellknown knowhow of new technology without forgetting traditional industry.
